Delivery day is around the corner. A lot of focus goes on preparing Mom for this time – but what about Dad? Here’s how to be a “good” Dad at the hospital:
- Don’t react like you’re watching a horror movie during the birth.
- Empathy is important. Never say “it’s not that bad.”
- Be prepared to be insulted. Don’t take it personally.
- Be careful where you point the camera. If your spouse wants the delivery filmed, a steady hand is better than trying to get “artistic” with angles and commentary.
- Pack everything you’ll need: a change of clothes, toothbrush/toothpaste, razor and shaving cream, and books/magazines to pass the time.
